Our presentor will be Susan Desmond and she will be providing the 2012 legislative update.
Presentation details from Mrs. Desmond:
I will cover all pending legislation -- both federal and state -- that impacts labor and employment law. I will present my best estimate of the chances of the legislation being passed. Given that the Miss Legislature is only in session from January to April every year, the timing of the program is particularly appropriate. I will also provide an update on all regulatory changes, including changes in regulations as well as any changes in interpretation by agencies such as the National Labor Relations Board and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
