    Our Presenter will be Ken Bennight, CSP, CHSP, CHCM who will be presenting on:

    Employee Accidents – Understanding the Real Cost and Stopping the Bleed!   This presentation will review the true cost of worker related injuries to an employer and the impact on revenue and profits.  In addition it will present and discuss measures that have been effective in helping companies reduce accidents and control related costs.

    Qualifications and Experience Summary

    Ken has over 30 years of safety and risk control experience that has included support of clients with exposures in a variety of lines of property and casualty (P&C) insurance coverage.  His professional certifications and associations include:

    -Certified Safety Professional (CSP),

    -Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP)

    -Certified Hazard Control Manager (CHCM)

    -American Society of Safety Engineers Certificate in Safety Management

    -Professional Member, American Society of Safety Engineers

    -Member, American Society of Healthcare Engineers

    -OSHA Authorized Outreach Program Trainer

    His safety and risk control background includes P&C work in a wide range of industries including gaming/hospitality, healthcare, construction, manufacturing, public schools, and municipalities.  Additionally, he is an experienced trainer and has developed and conducted a variety of safety and risk management training programs and seminars.

    In his capacity with us as a Risk Control Consultant, Ken provides risk control services to a variety of accounts and assists with the evaluation of clients and prospects for use in marketing and underwriting. With his experience in both the property as well as casualty lines of commercial insurance he is able to evaluate risks and provide sound measures to clients to reduce exposures.

    Ken is currently assigned as the lead Risk Control Professional to several of our key accounts working closely with their Risk Management teams to identify exposures ranging from basic liability risks to those associated with external and internal disaster situations.

    In addition to his background in the commercial insurance industry, his background also includes experience as a safety officer for a large acute care hospital, a project manager/safety inspector for a large commercial construction management company, a hospital facilities construction supervisor, and in safety roles on various assignments during his career with the U.S. Navy Construction Battalions (Seabees) and the Civil Engineer Corps.

    Education and  Training

    In addition to his experience and professional qualifications Ken’s education includes a Bachelor of Science Degree and an Associate of Science Degree, both with concentrations in safety and industrial course work.  He has also completed a variety of safety training courses and seminars and is an active OSHA Outreach Program Trainer.
