Gail Ann McCreary will be our speaker. She is a Certified Records Manager for Mississippi Power. She will be discussing Records Retention.

Gail Ann McCreary, CRM, has been the Records Manager at Mississippi Power Company for over 33 years.  Over her career, she has been engaged in many areas of Records and Information Management including program implementation, retention schedule development, records center operations, development of filing systems, and disaster planning and response.  Gail Ann has been an active member of ARMA International, the Records Management professional association, since 1980, serving the association at the chapter, region and association levels, including a three-year term on the ARMA International Board of Directors.  She obtained her Certified Records Manager (CRM) designation in 1988 and is currently the only CRM in the state of Mississippi.  She is a frequent speaker on Records Management topics and, most recently, on MPC’s disaster recovery experience after Hurricane Katrina.  Prior to starting MPC’s Records Management Program, she was a reference librarian for the Mississippi Library Commission.  Gail Ann received her bachelor’s degree from Mississippi University for Women.
