Congratulations goes to Cynthia Black, SHRM-CP, for receiving the 2022 GCHRA Lifetime Achievement Award!

Cynthia Black is currently the Asst. Vice President of HR with The Peoples Bank in Biloxi, Mississippi and holds both her HR Professional Certification and a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Leadership.

She has worked in all areas of Human Resources for over 25 years, both in the public and private sectors.

With her experience in HR, and working for the Moss Point School District for 15 yrs, she has had opportunity to present for the Mississippi Association of School Superintendents, Southeastern Association of School Business Officials, Mississippi School Nutrition Association and the Mississippi Association for School Business Officials.

She has been involved as a community volunteer and has served on multiple committees and boards. She currently serves on the Pascagoula-Gautier School Board as Secretary and is the Board Chair with Community Action of South MS.  

As a member of the Gulf Coast Human Resource Association she has served as the 2018 Diversity Chair, 2019 President-Elect, 2020 & 2021 President and is currently the 2022 Past-President.
