Our January meeting has been rescheduled for Jan 22 at the Innovation Center at 1636 Popps Ferry Road Biloxi with registration and networking from 7:30 am - 8am. A light continental breakfast and juice will be sponsored by Wanda Freeland (SMART Performance Solutions).

Our guest speaker for January will be Alice McGrath. Many of you may know Alice as the SHRM Certification Instrutor for Tulane. Her topic will be Validation of Competency Based Assessments. She will include a brief background on why SHRM has a new certification, summary of the approach being taken, the topics being tested, how the test will work, what is included and the next steps in the validation process. 

Alice Williams McGrath, SPHR, CFCC

Alice McGrath has extensive experience in Human Resource, with over 25 years in HR policy, management and operations positions.  She has an active HR consulting practice in human capital management with clients in both the federal and private sectors. 

Alice is accredited by the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) as a Senior Professional in Human Resources and facilitates SHRM’s Professional Development Courses and HR Essentials Seminars through Tulane University.    Alice is an honor graduate of the University of Georgia with a M.A. in Business Administration in Human Resources Management and a BBA in Industrial Relations.  She is a certified Franklin-Covey Coach. 

Alice is a past faculty fellow at Tulane University where she teaches Human Resources and other business related courses in the Business Studies program.  She is a member of SHRM and President of McGrath HR Associates, LLC.
