Everything you need to know about Wage & Hour. Plus so much more.

We would like to share information on common violations under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) including: not properly calculating overtime after 40 hours in a workweek but after 80 hours in a two week payroll; not having employees record and be paid for time spent responding to calls and/or emails after work hours; not paying for training hours or travel time mandated by the employer; and failing to properly classify a manager or professional, resulting in additional overtime due.  We also want to share information on our new self-audit program called “PAID” which limits the employers liability by not assessing fines or liquidated damages when minimum wage or overtime violations are identified.   If time permits, we could share information on the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the Military Protections under FMLA.  We enforce the Consumer Credit Protection Act (CCPA) – Garnishment Law, as well and provide information to some groups when requested.  We enforce government contract laws such as the Davis Bacon Act (construction), the Service Contract Act and others as well as agriculture protection laws such as the Migrant and Seasonal Worker Protection Act and the H2A VISA Program.
