    CYNTHIA BLACK, SHRM-CP

    PAST PRESIDENT

    Cynthia Black is currently the Human Resource Officer with The Peoples Bank in Biloxi, Mississippi and holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Leadership.

    She previously worked with the with the Moss Point School District for 15 years and has worked in all areas of Human Resources for over 25 years, both in the public and private sector.

    She has had opportunity to be a presenter in areas of human resources for the Mississippi Association of School Superintendents, Southeastern Association of School Business Officials, Mississippi School Nutrition Association and has presented multiple times for the Mississippi Association for School Business Officials.

    She has been involved in community volunteer work and has served on multiple committees and boards, which include Habitat for Humanity and is currently Board Chair with Jackson County Civic Action Committee, Inc.

    As a member of the Gulf Coast Human Resource Association she has served in one of the Core Leadership Areas as the Diversity Chair for 2018, 2019 President-Elect, 2020 President and at the board's request will serve as the 2021 President.
