WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

    GAYLE BROWN

    Gayle Brown joined GCHRA in January of 2018, coming on board as the chair for Workforce Readiness.

    She is a Workforce Developer and Grant Writer at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (MGCCC) as a Workforce Developer and Grant Writer.  At her position with MGCCC, Gayle helps companies address their training needs, works with apprenticeship programs, and writes college-wide grants.  

    Gayle holds an undergraduate degree in Business Management and a Master’s degree in Counseling - College Student Personnel, both from Mississippi State University.  Her work has been in college student affairs, college and high school-aged Christian youth, and grant administration and writing.   

    Gayle is involved in the community serving as a current member of the MS Community College Leadership Academy, assisting Junior Auxiliary chapters through the National Association of Junior Auxiliary, and being an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Ocean Springs.   

    Gayle and husband Clay have been married for 26 years and are the parents of Dottie Grace (college freshmen) and Natalie (high school freshmen) and furry-daughter Sunny (3 years old.)  Gayle is the former Gayle Canaga of Ocean Springs.
